Betieku clan in Tinto cut off from Manyu

The only bridge used by people of this community to reach the rest of Manyu has been swept by downpour.

Heavy rains on Wednesday August 10, 2022 caused untold damages to the bridge located at Ebangabi village.

Upper Banyang is a subdivision in Manyu Division, South West region. Manyu Division is close to Nigeria in the South East. Its headquarters is called Tinto.

“We from the Betieku clan have been cut from the rest of the country. The lone bridge helping us to connect to the rest of the world has been swept away by heavy rains” a villager cried out.

The people of this community have appealed on local council authorities and administration to rescue them as back to school draws near.
