Bamenda Bishops label acts against education, sin

The Bishops of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province under their conference, BAPEC called for peace during their 76th Ordinary Meeting, inorder for hitch free education of all.
The annual conclave which held from August 17 to 22, 2024 at the Archbishops House, Bamenda brought together the five prelates and their close collaborators.
In the final communique, the Bishops amongst other things emphasized the committment of the local church towards education. Which they said was a fundamental human right and an avenue for evangelization.
“The Bishops insisted on the fact that to deny anyone the possibility of the upliftment that education brings, is to sin grievously.” Hence, they made appeal to all communities to work together in order to create a serene and safe environment for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Again, the Bamenda Bishops were not indifferent to security and rights concerns. They appealed to those at the fore of voilence to give peace and dialogue a chance.
They reminded the public that those who live by the sword, shall by it perish. While calling on the faithful to feel increasingly concerned about the formation of their priest.
