Bamenda-Babajou road: Works estimated at 9% done
The execution rate of works along the Babadjou -Matazem stretch on the national number 6 road linking Babadjou to Bamenda has been estimated at 9 %.
This is the main outcome of the monthly meeting of the project held the first week of June at the headquarters of the control mission to evaluate the progress made so far on the stretch by BUNS, the company in charge of rehabilitating the 17km stretch.
According to BUNS, their main objective this month is the laying of the foundation surface at least right up to “kilometre post 500” and for this to be realized, the company is mobilizing it human, material and logistics resources.
The company is however decrying the negative impacts of weather conditions as the rains continue to hinder their progress.
During the meeting, we learned that proposals or bids concerning the stretch from Matazem to the “Welcome to Bamenda” signpost were also examined in commissions.
