Back to school: Basic education minister attempts solving teachers’ problems
Basic education minister, Laurent Serge Etoudi Ngoa has called on basic education teachers who deposited files for the payment of their arrears, housing allowances, research and documentation bonuses as well as teaching and evaluation bonuses between 2019 and 2021 to present their work contracts or their recruitment documents at the human resource department of the basic education ministry for a follow-up of the said files.
This comes just days after an announcement was made by secondary school teachers’ trade unions under the OTS movement announcing a possible disruption of the school year through strike actions if their demands are not met.
