Babadjou-Matazem road 10% done

As of June 23, the execution rate of works along the Babadjou-Matazem stretch in the West and North West region, respectively, stood at 10% and the deadline consumed at 19,63% according to the communication department of the Ministry of Public Works.

This is the outcome of a control mission that was done on June 23. Downpour has bren a major obstacle to the execution of works on some parts of the stretch, the mission was told.

The clearance of rights of way from kilometere post 0 to kilometre post 17 has been done partially and in areas where rights of way have been cleared, subgrade compaction are being done, impregnation and foundation layers are being put in place.

Geotechnical works are also being done.

This road if completed will be a dream come true as for near a decade, travellers have been witnessing nightmare using the deplorable road.
