Baba 1 Imam’s fate unknown after separatist kidnap
Imam Musa Tita was kidnapped by men who identified themselves as Ambazonia forces. The Muslim leader was kidnapped at his Baba 1 residence on May 17, 2022, and since then, relatives and his community have not heard from him.
The Imam of the central mosque at Baba 1 village, Babessi subdivision, Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region was kidnapped Tuesday evening along with his brother.
The reasons for their kidnapped have not been made known but they have been in detention for close to a week.
All attempts to see or talk with the victim have failed, someone who has knowledge of the incident told CNA.
“The mission was carried out by the boys of major general Shao Mao of Baba 1.” the sources added.
