Armed Men Deprive Ndoh Beach Locals of Peace
The population of Ndoh Beach, a locality in Mbanga in the Moungo Division of the Littoral region have said they no longer know peace ever since the crisis started in the North West and South West regions broke out considering Meme division is their neighbor.
“Since the crisis transformed to war, we the people of Ndoh Beach have been targets of separatist fighters. We do not have security forces here to protect us. We have been abandoned,” a local told CNA.
They tabled their worries on Tuesday to the Divisional Officer of Mbanga, Nkefor Christian who embarked on a new year meet the people tour.
According to an elite, the situation has been enabled by the inaccessible road networks in Ndoh Beach.
“Our roads are very bad. When you alert the forces of law and order they are either reluctant to come or arrive when the armed men had attacked and left. We need accessible roads which will ease intervention,” an elite suggested.
In response, Nkefor Christian assured the population that security will be reinforced in Ndoh Beach:
“About security that is no major problem. I will see into it that municipal authorities provide passable roads to ease your movements”.
The traditional ruler on his part challenged his subjects to be very vigilant and spare no chance to denounce the enemies.
