Appointments of directors must be approved by Paul Biya-SGPR
New appointments of directors in Cameroon’s state institutions must now go through the Presidency for approval, the Secretary-General at the Presidency has said.
This is contained in correspondence addressed to the Secretary-General at the Prime Minister’s office Thursday, June 16, 2022.
SGPR Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, specified in his letter that decisions taken by boards of administration in public institutions and public enterprises concerning their charts and nominations, should henceforth be submitted to the presidency for approval.
The move according to the correspondence is in the application of law N° 2017/010 and 2017/011 concerning the general status of public institutions and public enterprises respectively.
The correspondence further states that the recruitment and management of personnel at state-owned institutions and enterprises should respect the sociological balance and representativeness of the Nation.
