Antonio Conceçao wants F CFA 1 billion from FECAFOOT

The International Football Federation, FIFA, has written to the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT in respect to their silence on the Antonio Conceçao matter.

The former indomitable lions head coach had filed a complaint against FECAFOOT for wrongful termination of contract and is asking for F CFA 1 billion for damages. Part of this amount represents unpaid salary until 2023 when the contract ends. FIFA had reached out to both parties asking that statements be made and proofs made available before April 22nd 2022. FECAFOOT had unfortunately not responded prompting another letter from FIFA.

It is now clear that the matter will be tabled to the players’ status committee for a verdict which both parties will have to respect. The date for this, FIFA’s letter says, will be made known soon. The former head coach has also been asked to tell the federation what his professional life has been like ever since his contract was abruptly terminated.

Antonio Conceçao Da Silva Oliviera was removed from his post of indomitable lions’ head coach after the team finished 3rd at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which took place in Cameroon.
