Alleged separatist fighters burn Ni John Fru Ndi’s house
Gunmen suspected to be separatist fighters have burnt a section of late Ni John Fru Ndi’s house in Baba II, Santa subdivision.
The act was carried out in the night of Thursday July 13, 2023. We learned no one was living in the house by the time the incident occurred.
Some inhabitants of the neighborhood said they woke up Friday morning to discover that a section of the late SDF Chairman’s building was consumed by fire.
The material damage is still to be examined, as we are told only family members can revealed what was the content of the house before the burning took place.
No separatist group has claimed responsibility over the act, but we gathered from sources that the act was done to spoil the burial of the SDF Chairman which is slated for July 28.
The National Chairman of the SDF party, Fru Ndi died on June 12, 2023 in Yaounde, after a protracted illness. His burial is slated to take place on July 28 at the burnt residence in Baba II, Santa Subdivision.
