Algerians Taking It Too Far
After being eliminated from the FIFA world cup, in 2022, the supporters of the Desert Foxes have been having sleepless nights trying to figure out a world cup without them.
What is most painful is that they were one leg into the world cup until the stoppage time when Cameroonian striker, Karl Toko Ekambi gave his country a 2-1 win in Algeria.
Apart from petitioning FIFA to cancel the match over alleged bad refereeing, the Algerians have been trolling FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o alleging that he paid the main referee of that famous encounter, Gassama, to favor Cameroon.
Algerians have protested in front of FIFA head office, they have called FIFA offices, intimidate people online, their head coach Belmadi in a recent interview said he wishes something could happen to the Referee Gassama. He doesn’t like seeing him moving freely and enjoying life while they are crying for justice.
As if that was not enough, supporters of the French club, Olympic Lyonnais where Cameroonian start, Karl Ekambi has his professional trade, attacked the young star after a successful match against Montpelier at the weekend.
CRYING BABIES
Algerians are known for always complaining when they crash out as losers in football matches. It is either they complain that there was bad weather, poor playing turf, poor refereeing, poor food, etc.
FIFA is yet to make a decision concerning Algeria’s appeal but football pundits say it has a 0.5 % chance of succeeding.
