Alex Song suggests line-up for Indomitable Lions leaves out Tolo, Fai
As reactions swell regarding Song’s results with the Cameroon national football team since his appointment, former Indomitable Lion Alex Song has shared line-ups he judges Rigobert Song could adopt.
He omitted standout full-backs Nouhou Tolo and Fai Collins in his picks which followed the 0-1 defeat in the friendly against Senegal on Monday, October 16.
There have been calls for Fai Collins’ return to the national team. He has not been selected since ending his contract with Saudi club Al-Tai in July.
Despite being without a club, several supporters have kept pressing for his return. Alleged news of a negotiated deal with Limbe-based club Victoria United, further elicited more calls for the defender’s comeback.
In Alex Song’s three suggested line-ups, the players that feature include; Onana, Ebosse, Wooh, Castelletto, Yongwa, Baleba, Tchato, Anguissa, Ngamaleu, Choupo, Mbeumo, and Aboubakar.
Presently, it is difficult to determine Rigobert Song’s steady line-up. The AFCON 2023 comes up in January and it is not yet evident what his starting team will look like.
