AFCON 2023: CAF unveils Akwaba official song

As the 34th Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire draws near, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) have released the eagerly anticipated official song for the event, Titled AKWABA, which means “Welcome” in Ivorian language.
AKWABA is not just a description of the theme for the football competition, but also a proclamation of the love for the game, a celebration of the cultural diversity of the continent, and the hospitable nature of Cote d’Ivoire.
It reflects the gracious hospitality the host country plans to offer to football enthusiasts from all over the world during the tournament, which will run from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
Four legendary African musicians, including Magic System, Mohamed Ramadan, Yemi Alade, and Dany Synthe collaborated to create the song, fusing a range of African rhythms, style, and culture.
