Douala: Man arrested after stealing from boss

A man has been arrested in Douala for stealing money, a shawarma machine as well as an icecream machine.

According to the proprietor of the business, he hired two homeless people, provided them with a home and a daily pay in exchange for their services as salespersons. The small sales point was located in the Ange Raphael neighborhood, next to a big supermarket.

Unfortunately for the proprietor, the pair decided to sell his machines and also steal all his money while he was on a journey, leaving him heavily indebted.

A message of distress sent out on social media has now led to the arrest of one of the accused. Investigations are ongoing and hopes are high that his interrogation will lead to the arrest of his accomplice.
