Buea Regional Hospital Annex recognises dutiful staff

A selected few of hospital staff were recognized for their dedication to duty at the Buea Regional Hospital Annex. The event which took place at the premises of the institution February 28, was marked with excitement, gratitude and a call for better service in 2025.
The award ceremony which took place under the watchful eyes of the Regional Delegate of Public Health for the South West, Dr Eko Eko Filbert came to it’s climax during the awards. Staffers and units were singled out for their input to the overall service delivery.
“We think that if we can encourage people to work then they can do better in what they do,” the hospital’s Director, Dr. Martin Mokake stated.
He further explained, the event was a annual one and added beauty to the work of it’s staff. Dr Mokake also highlighted that the awards to a few were by extension, appreciate to the entire hospital workforce for their inputs at various levels.
The best nurse of the pediatric unit, Agbor Daniella said her secret was to relief her patiences and not trouble them when they came around. She called on her counterparts not to relent but to keep in mind that God will reward all good deeds.
Ngale Joseph, recipient of recognition for efforts as guard, felt grateful to God and the hospital’s administration. He said the recognition was inspiration for him to double his efforts towards his service.
During the event, it was disclosed that the hospital’s pediatric centre is due completion in six weeks. The 54 bed ward, over 70% executed is initiated by the regional assembly and will serve children.
