Bamenda: Two die in Nakaa night shooting

Two persons were shot dead on Sunday night around Nakaa Mile 87, Bamenda, North West region, a source confirmed to CNA.

Armed men opened fire on the victims killing on the spot the Chairman of the Presbyterian Church congregation of the area, George Fomantum.

Another member of the Church who belongs to the Christian Youth Fellowship group, CFY, Chancelline, was also killed.

Sources added that the victims were targeted because their houses were attacked, by the armed men. They were shot as soon as they responded to the authoritative call from those commanding with guns. Though no group has claimed responsibility, sources suspect Separatists.
