Cameroon 2025: Joshua Osih says ready for presidential elections
The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, SDF, party, Hon. Joshua Osih said he will run for presidency in the 2025 elections.
Hon. Osih replaced former Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi, who died on June 13, 2023, after an illness.
Though Osih has not been formally chosen to represent the party, it is unlikely to be another candidate.
The SDF party will have to organize an extraordinary convention to vote for the person who will challenge the opposition and ruling parties in the upcoming polls.
The MP for Wouri hails from the South West region.
Should delegates vote for Osih, it will be the second time that he is vying for the presidency. In his first attempt in 2018 under the SDF party, he emerged 4th behind Paul Biya, Maurice Kamto and Cabral Libii.
