A second plane crash in the US city of Philadelphia has killed all six people on board after crashing into a residential neighborhood, according to CNN.
The crash of the Learjet 55 comes just two days after a mid-air collision between a military Black Hawk helicopter with three soldiers on board, collided with a passenger plane carrying 64 people, killing everyone in both aircrafts. This tragedy happened on January 29.
According to reports, the Learjet 55 crashed on January 31 shortly after take-off. It was carrying a pediatric patient and her mother along with a pilot, co-pilot, a paramedic and the rest were the plane’s crew members. All those on board have been confirmed as Mexican nationals.
The plane was returning with the patient to the Mexican city of Tijuana after the patient had received treatment in the US.
The plane crashed into a residential neighborhood, and there are fears that some people on the ground may have been killed but no known casualties have been reported yet.
It also remains unclear at press time, what caused the downing of the plane. Authorities are conducting investigations to determine this.
Meanwhile the black box from the downed helicopter involved in the Washington DC crash, has been found.
