Three separatist fighters killed, others arrested in Bamenda
A group of separatist fighters who have been causing havoc in the neighborhood of Nkwen in Bamenda III Subdivision have been apprehended by elements of the Gendarmerie.
A special operation led by Colonel Muabe Peter, Commander of the Territorial Gendarmerie led to the killing of three members of the group, and two others apprehended for further investigations.
According to information gathered, the forces were informed about the unfamiliar faces who were living in an apartment in Alahlie, a quarter in Mile 4 Nkwen.
The Gendarms surprised them on Saturday January 18th night, killing three members of the group, two others apprehended and several ammunition like guns, bullets, and marijuana seized.
The separatist group is alleged to be responsible for the killing of John Paul, a shareholder of Nso Boyz transport agency and also leading an attack that led to the death of 35 year-old Ndzikem Carine on Thursday January 16th around Ntabessi junction.
