West region: Serial killer, rapist of underaged children under police investigation

An alleged serial rapist and killer of underaged children in Bagam, Galim Subdivision in the West, has reconstructed the facts of his multiple crimes whose latest dates back to November 29, 2024, when he allegedly raped and killed an eight-year-old girl called Nafissatou Pouza.
The culprit whose name CNA got as Alain Diwa, was taken to the scene of his multiple crimes on Wednesday December 11, 2024 by a strong delegation headed by the Divisional Officer of Galim accompanied by the state prosecutor, forensic doctors and security officials.
The serial killer and rapist in his 30s was arrested last weekend and confessed to at least four cases of children he murdered and threw their body parts into a rocky brush that became his victims’ vault. In addition to the case of little Nafissatou Pouza, the clothes and shoes of another victim identified as Divine Petchino, five-year-old, who disappeared on October 29, 2024, were found. The killer however failed to indicate where the remains of Divine were deposited and despite an organized search in the forest, nothing was found.
A search at their family residence by competent authorities, also led to the discovery and seizure of a good quantity of Indian hemp and a machete which had been allegedly used as the weapon to murder his victims.
After Wednesday’s fact reconstruction, investigation will continue to determine whether the latter belongs to a network of human traffickers or not. He is also a convict having served time in prison, on counts of murder.
