Babadjou: Woman stabs man to death, injures another

A woman believed to be mentally deranged, has stabbed her neighbour to death in Bamendjingha, a neighborhood in Babadjou subdivision in the West region.
The horrible scene occurred in the afternoon of Tuesday, December 10, at about 5 p.m. The woman named Ngaffo Aline, who shows signs of dementia, reportedly stabbed her neighbor, a man in his sixties, popularly known as “Cadre”.
According to sources, the victim was returning home when he was intercepted and stabbed in the neck by the latter who later was seen dragging the man’s body on the ground.
Alerted neighbors while trying to intervene, were also threatened by the lady who injured one person in the process.
“We saw her dragging the man on the ground and thought they were fighting. It is when we went closer that we realized the man was lifeless and in a pool of blood ” recounted an eyewitness
“In the course of intervening, she stabbed another man who was rushed to hospital” he added.
Gendarme officers arrived and succeeded to recover the dead body and the alleged killer was arrested.
