PCC:Miki Hans to bear Pectoral-cross, Ayuk Solomon new Synod Clerk

Outgoing Synod Clerk of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Rev Miki Hans Abia has been elected the churches seventh Moderator. He emerged victorious uncontested. In the synod election, November 18 the Rev. Jongai Polycarp stepped down after rendering his statement of faith before the over 120 Synod delegates. The election took place at the PCC Synod Office hill in Buea. In the same conclave, Rev Ayuk Solomon got a five year mandate as Synod Clerk. Rev Mokoko Simon Elive with whom he was to run stepped down.
Rev Miki Hans will be the new bearer of the Pectoral cross, a symbol of authority in the PCC. He will be worn the christian symbol in respect of the churches tradition upon induction into the coveted office in a date yet to be announced. Rev Miki procedes Right Rev Dr Fonki Samuel Forba, who had been at the helm of the church from 2014.
PCC Stakes
Rev Miki Hans Abia takes over the PCC leadership eight years into an armed conflict in the churches primary field, North West and South West. A crisis which has displaced thousands of the the churches over 2 million members.
The PCC, which is one amongst top ten employers in Cameroon, has a college of pastors slightly over 600. The church runs several ventures including; schools, hospitals, shops, microfinance, printing press amongst others.
Rev Miki Hans, new PCC Moderator
The Rev Miki Hans is at the end of his mandate as Synod Clerk. Prior, he served as Presbyterial Secretary of the East Mungo with seat at PC Bonamoussadi. Though with Meta origin (Momo Division, North West), he was born on 13 November, 1966 in Tombel, South West. Miki only answered the call to Ministry in 1993. When he enrolled into the Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Kumba. He was authorised in 1997 as an assistant pastor and dispatched to Kembong, Manyu Division.
As early as 2000, he gained appointment as Treasurer of the churches Mamfe Presbytery. Later rising to Presbytery Secretary of Fako South by 2003. A capacity he held in several presbyteries of the church until his election in November 2019, as PCC’s tenth Synod Clerk.
Rev Miki holds a Masters Degree in Theology with specialty in Systematic Theology. He is married to Afor Viviane Miki and a father of four.
The new face, Rev Ayuk Solomon
Rev Ayuk Solomon, PCC’s eleventh and new Synod Clerk originates from Kembong in Eyumojock subdivision, Manyu of the South West. Born on August 2, 1977 in Ekondo Titi, he will later attend secondary and high school in Buea. Leading to his enrollment at PTS Kumba in 2000. Upon graduation in 2003, he was posted to Nkikoh in Bangem. Rev Ayuk was ordained in 2005 by the Very Rev Nyansako- Ni- Nku.
In 2013 he was moved to the North West by the churches staffing committee as Presbyterial Treasurer for Bui and pastor of Mbveh, Kumbo. Rev Ayuk after then has pastored congregations in Yaounde and Kumba. On June 5, 2021 he was made Presbyterial Secretary for Ndian and Parish pastor for Mumdemba Town.
He holds a Masters in Systematic Theology and is currently the vice president of the Ndian Divisional followup committee for the Physical and Financial E,xecution of the Public Investment Budget. Besides being a GCE O’Level examiner for several years.
The man Ayuk Solomon, is married to Martha Ayuk and blessed with three kids.
