WICUDA president says Fulani violent acts on wimbum people must end

The Fulani people armed with matchets and guns have attacked the Sop village in the Ndu subdivision, twice in less than one week.

They burned houses and killed civilians, promising to do more. The latest incident happened on Tuesday night when they committed another mayhem on the villagers.

The national President of the Wibum Cultural and Development Association, WICUDA, Apostle Rogers Nforgwei said the situation is critical and must be treated as an emergency by competent authorities.

Mr. Rogers said he has already reached out to the authorities to reach out on aa master plan that will contain the invading Fulanis, but said the plan will not be revealed to the public.

The reasons for the attack against the host community have not been revealed. It is not also clear if they are reacting to the usual farmer-grazier conflict. But with the armed conflict in the North West region, it might not be easy findings the cause because several persons now have arms including bandits whose only mission is to cause harm to individuals.
