Chief’s palace in Bwassa partially destroyed by fire
Buea, Cameroon ( CNA)– A section of Chief Ewome John Eko’s palace in Bwassa Village was destroyed by fire early Monday morning. Residents suspect the attack was carried out by suspected separatists, often referred to as “Amba boys.”
The incident occurred on Monday morning around 2 AM. The extent of the damage is yet to be determined.
No injuries have been reported.
Those who came to the site to put off the fire said the contents of one room were completely damaged while they found a notice outside warning that the days of “black legs” are over.
They also found a blue and white flag hung on the door.
