Nigeria: Bandits release female judge, retain three children for 150M ransom
The Kidnappers who bundled five members of the family are demanding a random of 150 million Naira, local media reported.
They shot the eldest son, 14, before releasing their mother on July 4, 2024, retaining three children, promising to release them upon payment of the ransom.
Janet Gimba, a judge of the Upper Customary Court in Kaduna state was kidnapped by bandits, alongside her four children on June 23, 2024.
The bandits gave the couple three days to send the money or have their children killed.
Police operatives found the corpse of the first son, Victor Gimba, at the Sabon Tasha Division, Ungwan Bayero of Dutse village near the toll gate, along the Kaduna- Abuja highway on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, Kaduna political affairs reported.
