WNBA: Seattle Storm parts ways with Cameroonian centre Dulcy Mendjiadeu

WNBA team Seattle Storm has parted ways with Cameroonian centre, Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu, after just two seasons.

The centre was waived due to insufficient performance. She gradually lost her place with the team at the start of the second season in which she was averaging just about five minutes a game.

Before her departure from the team was announced on Friday May 31, Mendjiadeu averaged 3.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in 41 games for the Storm.

Dulcy joined Seattle Storm in 2023 from the South Florida University as the 21st overall pick in the WNBA draft. She started her career in the league with impressive stats, averaging 12.3 points and shooting 66.3% from the field.

Her drop in performance led to her replacement at the center position with All-Star player Ezi Magbegor.
