Elite Two: Rangers FC continue in struggle with eleven winless games

By Biwah Bryan

The Elite Two championship is gradually entering its final stretch with North West outfit Rangers FC stuck at the bottom.

With just three games left in the season, the team has accumulated nine defeats and two draws, making them the weakest side.

Their troubles began in a frustrating draw with Dragon of Yaounde, where a potential winning goal was controversially ruled out for offside. The following five games resulted in consecutive losses, with the team conceding 17 goals and scoring only two.

A hard-fought draw with Leopard Sportif of Douala on match day 7 gave the team a glimmer of hope, but it was short-lived as they’ve since suffered four consecutive defeats, including the most recent loss against ISOHSA of Limbe on match day 11.

Their season now hinges on their final three matches, with the threat of relegation looming large should they not be able to survive the relegation playoffs battle.

Rangers FC still have Panther Sportive, Leopard of Douala and Djiko FC to play before the season ends.
