‘Even Lucifer has rejected them’ – Atanga Nji to separatist fighters
By Stephen TADAHA
Territorial Affairs minister, Paul Atanga Nji has once again sent mixed feelings across the country with his rather bizarre comments in Bamenda.
On Wednesday December 13, Atanga Nji claimed that even Lucifer has rejected separatist fighters for their numerous atrocities in the North West and South West Regions.
Speaking at the North West governor’s office, he said: “The state will always reject the terrorists. And now the strange story is that even Lucifer is rejecting the terrorists. Lucifer’s kingdom is a temple of evil, but Lucifer is telling the terrorists in the North West and South West regions that we asked you to commit atrocities but you have committed more than what we expected”
He also brought greetings from the Head of State, Paul Biya and encouraged security forces to keep crushing the separatists; while calling on the population and bike riders in particular to collaborate with security forces to bring peace to the land.
Minister Atanga Nji is noted for his controversial remarks, even denying in a CRTV broadcast in 2017 that there was an Anglophone Problem.
A phrase ‘the boyses in the bushes’ has been attributed to the Minister for his misuse of the English language.
His recent remarks in Bamenda have left Cameroonians wondering why he uses Scriptures out of context for his political agenda.
