Moungo Division: Woman sets ablaze family home over infidelity
A woman in her 30s in Manengwassa, a locality in the Moungo Division of the Littoral region set ablaze their marital home early Saturday, December 9, 2023, with almost everything inside reduced to ashes.
Local inhabitants say she admitted committing the act because her husband was unfaithful to her.
“She goes around telling people she did it because her husband was cheating on her.” An inhabitant reported.
Her action has been condemned by her fellow women in the neighborhood.
” For a woman with children to burn her family home, it simply implies she is possessed. It is wickedness. Where will her children sleep or live now?”. Questioned another inhabitant.
The woman escaped to an unknown destination. Meanwhile, some youths quickly mobilized and managed to save a few items from the house.
A manhunt has been launched by the population to get hold of the woman.
