Date for Fury – Usyk fight confirmed

World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury, will fight unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk on February 17, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The date and venue were confirmed after the undisputed heavyweight bout was pushed from December 23, 2023, following Tyson Fury’s controversial win over Francis Ngannou on October 28.

All major boxing belts will be on the line when The Gypsy King and The Cat meet in February. Oleksandr Usyk will be risking his WBO, WBA, and IBF belts while Tyson Fury will put his WBC marble up for grabs.

Both fighters have unblemished records. Usyk 36, has fought 21 fights losing none, while Fury 35, has 34 fights with 33 wins and a draw.

It will be the first time in history that all boxing belts from the main sanctioning bodies, will be contested for in a fight. The winner of the bout will be crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion, 25 years after Britain’s Lennox Lewis held the title.
