This is how some Lions roared in the UEFA Champions League
By Stephen TADAHA
Despite the 4 saves made on Wednesday night against FC Copenhagen, André Onana and Manchester United still conceded 4 goals and ended up losing all three points in their first UEFA Champions League return leg group game.
They suffered a 4-3 defeat at Parken Stadium in Denmark with the Cameroonian goalkeeper still registering an outstanding performance. He succeeded in making 60 ball touches, 40 (83%) accurate passes, 2 clearances, and an interception.
The Reds are now tailing Group A with just 3 points and 11 goals conceded in 4 games. With just two games left (an away game against Galatasaray and a home game against Bayern) United’s chances of progressing to the next round have become slim.
Frank Zambo Anguissa and Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw by Union Berlin with the midfielder playing all 90 minutes. Napoli are 2nd in group C with 7 points, 5 points behind leaders Real Madrid.
Eric Maxime Choupo Moting on his part watched his team’s 4th victory in 4 games from the bench. Bayern defeated Galatasaray 2-1 in Germany. Bayern are through to the knockout stage.
