Travel to and from Bamenda, a daunting task
Several Agencies said they received information from Separatists on September 18, 2023, suspending their activities.
This has caused confusion not only among inter-urban transport agencies but also among travelers who are now stranded.
On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, someone who went to an agency in Bamenda to retrieve a parcel was frustrated as no one would attend to him.
“This is the picture of one agency in Bamenda today NSO Boys City Chemist. All agencies in Bamenda are closed . This is after the pronouncement given by one faction of the Amba boys calling on some agencies not to transport passengers. I went there to collect my goods but there are stuck there, I am so pissed,” the client lamented.
Buses that were already on their way to Bamenda, the capital of the North West region, were stuck in Mbouda, West region, unable to cross over to their destination.
