Bamboutos FC of Mbouda demands Fecafoot to pay debts of FCFA 121 million
By Stephen TADAHA
The management of Mangwa Boys said the sum comprised bonuses generated from the previous football season detailed as follows:
The team requested amongst others an FCFA 25 million bonus for being runners-up of the 2021-2022 Cameroon Cup, and another FCFA 25 million for the title of Cameroon’s league Vice Champion during the 2022-2023 football season.
The team added FCFA 1 million for the best fans club title during the 2022-2023 season, FCFA 15 million subventions retained by FECAFOOT, and most importantly the sum of FCFA 50 million for the super cup title they won during the 2022-2023 football season.
This information is revealed in a correspondence from the management of Bamboutos FC of Mbouda signed by its Director General, Pascal Dissock, to FECAFOOT president, Samuel Eto’o.
The team was denied the CAF license for failing to pay some staff members and players. The Mangwa Boys consequently failed to take part in the CAF Confederations Cup after finishing vice-champion of Cameroon.
The team had been defending itself for not being able to fulfill the requirement because of the money retained at FECAFOOT.
