Kamto calls on government to act on rising insecurity in Cameroon

The President of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, CRM, Maurice Kamto, has called on the government to act concerning the rising insecurity in the country, especially in the nation’s political capital Yaounde.

In a recent release, Maurice Kamto noted some of the insecurity issues plaguing these big cities.
“The murder of citizens in various localities throughout the country, attacks by organized or unorganized gangs in the neighborhoods of towns and villages, violent attacks on vehicles on the main roads, and kidnappings for ransom.”

He stated that not a day goes by without news of a Cameroonian being murdered in some part of the country. He also highlighted issues of violence exercised by certain traditional authorities over their subjects.

The CRM leader has therefore called on the government to take all necessary measures to put an end to all threats to security the population is facing in addition to the already high cost of living, lack of electricity, and drinking water amongst others.
