The Speaker of the National Assembly Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, has launched a free health campaign in the Mayo Sava Division of the Far North region, encouraging the population to visit the hospital when sick.
He was speaking during the launching ceremony on Thursday, February 9, which brought together inhabitants of the Tokombere subdivision.
“When you are sick, it’s good to go to the hospital. Don’t sleep at home. At home, you aggravate the situation,” the House Speaker cautioned. “The hospital will get you relieved very fast” he noted.
During the two-week health campaign, a caravan will visit health facilities around Tokombere, attending to patients with different health concerns.
“We will do check-ups, tooth extraction, attend to ophthalmology cases, give health advice,” Dr. Emmanuel Onana – Head of the health caravan said.
First beneficiaries saluted the initiative, thanking the House Speaker for his “benevolent” gesture.
