Youths encouraged to choose entrepreneurship for better job security

Youths in Melong, Moungo division have received computers, photocopying machines, generators and some farm equipment from Minister Mounouna Foutsou of Youth Affairs and Civic Education. This was during the inauguration of the multi purpose youth empowerment centre which will train hundred of young people. Energy – saving batteries and sewing machines among other items were equally handed to them. The objective of this is to encourage the young people to embrace the path of entrepreneurship

“The government can not employ every youth in Cameroon. It is impossible so I am here today to inaugurate this training site and I encourage more youths to enroll. Our youths are so busy moving around with most depending on cyber crimes to earn a living. Learn a skill that will help not just you but your future children and family,” Minister Mounouna said.

“Our youths have employment issues and we are happy some of them have taken the initiative to learn what is good for the society,” Simon Pierre Sone first Deputy Mayor for Melong added.

“Here with me is a grinding mill for cassava transformation into flour and other things and I am so happy for what the minister has done for us. This is going to help my future,” a student and beneficiary beamed.

The Minister of youth affairs and civic education ended by urging all youths to think out of their comfort zones and do something better for themselves. He further said many more training centers will be opened this year just to encourage young people to choose self-employment.
