The National Coordinator for the Presidential Plan for Reconstruction and Development, PPRD has revealed that the government of Cameroon has priority over projects in the Anglophone regions more than any other regions.
Motuba Tamajong Obase, PPRD National Coordinator was speaking Tuesday January 17, 2023 in Bamenda during a meeting with local stakeholders in the North West region.
“Reconstruction of the North West and South West regions are amongst government’s top priority projects this 2023,” Motuba Tamajong said.
The National Coordinator also revealed that everything is set and the population should be ready to witness a change in the aspects of reconstruction and development.
“This plan is aimed for reconstruction and to improve upon the living standards of the population so that life can return to normal as was the case before the crisis,” Motuba Tamajong added.
The meeting which took place at the North West Regional Assembly was focused on looking at projects submitted by local councils and that of the Regional Assembly for 2023.
According to the president of the North West Regional Assembly, Professor Fru Angwafo, monitoring is a great part of the process:
“It was an opportunity for us to compare all the projects that these councils are doing and to make sure that there are no duplications with that of the Regional Assembly”.
The meeting with the National Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for Reconstruction and Development also continued on Wednesday 18 with other local stakeholders like the North West Development Authority, MIDENO.
