Douala V D.O: people should be able to move around without getting stabbed
“Douala is a cosmopolitan town made up of people from different towns like Bamenda, North, Southwest and other parts mixed with those from littoral for business purposes. Crime wave has increased gravely because the city is to tight and unfortunately breeds bad seeds like those who take marijuana and cocaine. We are out to fish them out without mercy irrespective of who they are,” Dr. Asongwe Cletus, Divisional Officer (D.O.) for Douala V declared.
The D.O. has urged inhabitants of Douala to remain vigilant as crime waves are on the increase with more and more people reportedly getting stabbed, killed and robbed mostly by people under the influence of hard drugs.
“I assure the population that slowly we will fish all those harmful insects out and no one should be afraid. We started in Bepanda, Bonagang and we will continue to penetrate all the villages until we are satisfied seeing Douala safe. So if you’re a prostitute, drug dealer, user, a thief of anything harmful just change else we will come for you,” the D.O. added.
“We are really happy with what is going on because we are tired of getting attacked, with our gadgets stolen from us and all the threats and scary environment. People get scared to visit Douala because of all the bad happenings they hear so if these bad boys and girls can be taken out, I’m sure we will have little peace,” Jingwi Denis a bike rider Douala says.
The Divisional officer has taken upon himself to ensure proper peace reigns in Douala and is promising comfort and security to tourists and inhabitants of the city.
