Bafia: Three school girls responding to treatment after failed attempt to enlarge butts with Maggi
The young girls are responding favorably to treatment at the Bafia district hospital after a successful operation. The sisters aged 15-18 have expressed regret over their actions and vow not to embark on such again.
They were rushed to the Bafia district hospital on December 9, 2022, after their bodies reacted negatively to the seasoning cube they had injected in their buttocks. The girls all secondary school students at GTHS and GHS Bafia, ground cubes, mixed with water and injected the mixture in their buttocks to develop large and round buttocks. The expected result almost caused extended health hazards but for the timely reaction of medics. Medical Doctors at the Bafia district hospital are optimistic about their recovery after surgery on December 15, 2022.
The mayor of Bafia, Marthe Zintchem who went to visit the three young girls after their operation, urged them to focus on their studies and not yield to social media pressure. She also called on parents to be more cautious about what their children do during their teenage time, at home or outside of the home.
Some parents and youths have blamed this experiment on social media exposure especially Facebook and TikTok where everyone is an expert in all domains. The use of seasoning cubes to make buttocks larger and rounder is a cause for alarm according to medical experts as many use them hoping the salt and oil in it will expand their tissues and produce the expected results.
In Nigeria, women inject seasoning cubes into their anus, in Congo this practice is common, but doctors warn against abrupt hypertension due to excessive salt intake and also heart failure.
The women blame this on male pressure “this is because men today will be more attracted to the big butts than the smaller sizes” Myriam Djian, meanwhile other women see the adverse effects of social media influence “Today, it is common to see our influencers showcase their buttocks.. some even go as far as giving tips on their *perfect shape* whereas the truth is all different. Young girls who now thirst for male attention, indulge in such practices given that they cannot afford what their stars use or do” Nafissa Saah said.
Nowadays, many stars at home and especially those abroad go for plastic surgery to have their “desired” or the “Spanish guitar” shape though not all get favorable results.
