North West region: Man who lost two kids to food poisoning dies in armed attack

Sara, a famous driver in Awing village, Santa subdivision in the North West region, who lost his two kids a few weeks died in an armed attack on their vehicle on Thursday, November 24, 2022, in Awing.
Armed men attacked the victim on his way to hustle as he does every other day.

Sara is a driver who plies the Awing-Bamenda stretch of road. On board his Hilux car to Bamenda, they were ambushed by some unidentified gunmen.

The armed men shot the victims who died on the spot while they set the car ablaze. Sources say his wife has been inconsolable given that she just lost her 2 kids, and now her husband.

Still in a mourning period after death snatched her two children last month to what health officials say was food poisoning, she would have to extend her mourning period to sorrow over yet another loved one of hers this time around, her husband.

Sources in Awing say the population is yet to understand the sudden demise of the famous driver.

The deceased’s friend who is shocked by his friend’s death said, “He was a hardworking man whose only wish was to see his family happy. We have not even finished consoling the wife after they lost their children, now we have to comfort the wife again because her husband is no more.”
