Day 7 matches of the local league one championship ended yesterday with PWD Social Club of Bamenda beaten in their 6th outing by Djiko FC 0-1. The Abakwa boys are now ranked 9th in group A. In the same group, current title holders, Coton Sports of Garoua were humiliated at home 0-4 by Canon. In group B, Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda on their part did not surprise many fans as they again bowed to newcomers Gazelle at the Rhoumde Adja annex Stadium in Garoua 1-2. With this other defeat, the team remains in the red zone with only 5 points in 7 games played.
Still in group B, the top match of the day between Bamboutos FC and Fauve Azur ended in a 1-1 draw at the Mbouda Arena Stadium.

Handball
The handball lionesses of Cameroon will face their Angolan counterparts in the final clash of the ongoing Senior Africa women’s handball championshiip taking place in Dakar, Senegal.
Team Cameroon qualified after beating Congo yesterday 27-25 at the semifinal round. This will be the 5th time the lionesses are making it to this stage of the tournament. Angola holds a record of 14 titles in 15 finals played.
The lionesses thanks to this win, are already qualified for the 2023 IHF World Women’s Handball Championship and will be looking forward to winning their first ever African title.
The final will be played on Saturday November 19.
2022 FIFA World Cup
The indomptable Lions of Cameroon will this day as from 11am at the Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium, in Abou Dhabi face Panama in their final preparatory game before their world cup adventure that begins on November 24.
The squad is now complete and will be looking forward to grabbing their first victory in a warmup game ahead of the tournament.
The Lions are lodged in group G alongside favorites Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland.
