TotalEnergies CAF Interclub competitions Preliminary Rounds.

The football continental journey ends for PWD of Bamenda as they yesterday suffered a 1-0 defeat in the hands of ELGECO Plus of Madagascar in the return leg of their TotalEnergies Confederations preliminaries.

The Abakwa Boys lost 1-2 on aggregate after they were held to a 1-1 a week ago at the Bafoussam Omnisports Stadium.

In the CAF Total Énergies Champions League, Coton Sports of Garoua are through to the next round. The team defeated Matlama FC 1-0 at the Roumde Adja Stadium yesterday in the return leg of their preliminary round match. With a 4-0 aggregate score, the team progresses to the next stage of the competition.

Interpools 2022:

NGV Football academy has qualified for the knockout stage of the Interpools 2022 taking place in Limbe.

The West regional representative grabbed qualification on September 18 after they thrashed National of Garoua 4-0 in their third outing. This victory gives them a total of 9 points in 3 encounters. In the other encounter, Hilltop of Bamenda played a 1-1 draw with Nkoufor. Hilltop is ranked 2nd in the group with 5 points in 3 matches.

Football Cameroon Cup 2022

The final of the Cameroon Cup 2022 between Bamboutos FC of Mbouda and Coton Sports of Garoua has been announced for Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.

The announcement was made by Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi of Sports and Physical during a concertation meeting he held with heads of sports Federations in Cameroon at his Ministerial department.

Women’s Football

The Head coach of the indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, Gabriel Zabo has made public a list of 20 players called up for a friendly tournament to take place in Jordan.

The list is made up of two goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 4 midfielders, and 6 attackers. A new revelation, Awa Tabe has been called up. The tournament takes place from October 5-11, 2022.

Handball Cup 2022.

FAP and FANZ in both the Women’s and Men’s categories on Sunday, September 18, met at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex to settle their differences. In the Women’s category, the ladies of FAP defeated FANZ 25-23 to be crowned 2022 Cup winners.

In the Men’s category, FANZ in a tight encounter defeated FAP by 30 goals to 29.
