Football : AWA Ladies begin continental battle
A 25 man delegation (19 players and staff) of AS AWA Ladies, current Guinness Superleague winners, has reached Malabo in Equatorial Guinea where they will represent Cameroon at a CAF preliminary tournament dubbed UNIFAC. The tournament takes place from September 10 to 16 2022.
Under 19 Volleyball Lionesses get world championship spot
The under 19 volleyball lionesses of Cameroon have obtained their third world championship ticket in a row after the editions of 2019 and 2021.
They grabbed the qualification ticket after loosing the final of the just ended U19 Africa Cup of Nations in Nigeria. They lost to Egypt by a set to 3 to finish second of the tournament.

Semi-final away leg matches of the Cameroon Cup 2022 were played this Wednesday September 7.
In the ladies’ category FAP defeated TKC in a tight encounter 33-32 and Douala HB were thrashed by FANZ 11-28.
In the men’s category Friendship suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of FANZ 09-32 while suspense continues between AFRILAND MINUH and FAP as the two played a 25-25 draw.
Return leg matches will be played by September 11.
