Biya pumps new energy into the Standards and Quality Agency, ANOR

President Paul Biya in a decree signed on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, has appointed ten members of the Board of Directors at the helm of the leading institutional partner in standardization and quality.

The new members are is made up of the representative from the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Boumsong Antoine, that from the Prime Minister’s office, Ms Sandji née Etogo Messomo Mireille, representatives from 6 ministries, a private sector representative, and an elected staff representative. The ministries represented in the Board are those of Mines Industries and Technological Development, Trade, Finance, Economy, planning, and regional development, Public Health and Agriculture, and rural development.

Created in September 2009 by President Biya, ANOR is an administrative public institution with legal personality and financial autonomy, under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Industry and under the financial supervision of the Ministry of Finance.

ANOR’s mission is to contribute to the development and implementation of government policy in the field of standardization and quality in Cameroon.

ANOR plays a leading role in the development of a quality infrastructure adapted to Cameroon’s ambitions and provides the basis for excellence in political, economic, social, and cultural matters. It is a standardization tool and platform that helps to integrate the culture of quality into our society.
