Yaounde: Ketcha Courtes wants flooding problem resolved

Housing and urban development minister Celestine Ketcha Courtes has visited some neighborhoods in Yaounde known for experiencing the worst floods during heavy rains.

Avenue Kennedy and Voirie Municipal are the main places of concern for now. These areas have in the past weeks experienced spectacular floods resulting for poor drainage systems. These have several times caused people to be unable to get to their homes or work places and even worsen traffic conditions in yaounde once the roads become passable again.

It is in an effort to understand the root cause of these issues that the minister was in the field and maybe solutions will not be awaited for too long this rainy season.
