President Paul BIYA renews his confidence in ELECAM members
A presidential decree renewing the mandates of the president, vice president and other members of elections Cameroon has been signed this July 12, 2022.
The mandates of Enow Abrams Egbe president, Apoline Amugu Marie vice president and 12 other members of elections Cameroon expired since April 25th 2021 but no replacement had been made although meetings and sessions have been taking place.
The new decree appoints Epo Ngo Clemence and Nga Gasper who is former North West ELECAM head as new Board members of ELECAM.
As of June 2022, a total of 237.931 new registrations had been made on electoral lists and members of Elections Cameroon are hopeful the figures will increase by the end of the enrollment exercise in August 2022.
