US estimates 11, 700 Cameroonians fit for temporary protected status
Cameroonians feeling conflict in the ongoing armed conflict can now start filling under the 18-months Temporary Protected Status, the Department of Homeland Security has said.
The registration is only for those who have been in the United States since April 14, 2022, when the decision was taken. Also, those still living in the US since June 7, 2022, are eligible.
Individuals arriving in the United States after April 14, 2022 are not eligible for TPS under this designation and may be subject to removal if they have no other authorization to be in the United States.
