Patrick Mboma becomes Indomitable Lions’ Ambassador
The deal was sealed in Yaounde on June 10, 2022. The striker who won the 2000 and 2002 AFCON with Cameroon is the new Ambassador of the Lions.
Before appending his signature on paper, fans and supporters have been used to seeing him around the team whenever they have a match at hand.
It is clear that the federation’s president and former teammate, Samuel Eto’o was keeping him for the Ambassadorial role.
This comes after the appointment of another former teammate and captain, Rigobert Song as the team’s head coach.
Mboma who has frequently been commenting on matches as an analyst in the French league said he was happy that his former mate, Samuel Eto’o thought about him and gave him the confidence to represent the Indomitable Lions.
