Amba Commander No Pity kills sub-lieutenant, 8 others in a Noun border post

At least 9 Gendarmerie elements were killed last night in Njatapon, a border between Ngoketundjia in the North West region and Noun in the West region.

CNA has gathered that Sub Lieutenant Pismo Richard, was killed in the attack by Ambazonia commander, Mbashie Clement, popularly called “No Pity”.

The incident occurred last night June 7, 2022. Military intelligence had sent a warning alerting every unit around Balikumbat and the border with Noun. The government forces got intelligence that No Pity arrived in Ngoketundjia. They asked all control posts and stations to be on the watch out.

But the border post comprising special gendarmerie intervention forces, GPIGN did not get prepared as they were ambushed.

Njitapon is a village in Kouoptamo subdivision (a few meters away from town). The incident happened between midnight to 3h30 AM and the GPIGN post was burnt to ashes, CNA learned.
