Amba ‘general’ who imposed lockdown killed in Mamfe

General Airforce, as he is popularly called was last seen in public on May 14, 2022, in a video shared by his group on social media.

In this video he sent words to the population of Meme and Manyu, using the Mamfe-Ekok road to abstain from it, until after May 20, 2022.

The separatists said they were imposing a five-day lockdown as a sign of rejecting the National Day.

On May 28, 2022, he was attacked and killed by government forces in Afab village. Two of his fighters were also killed in the 10 AM attack.
